Community Warden

Through its sponsorship of the Kent Community Warden Service, Ash-cum-Ridley Parish Council has secured a dedicated, named Community Warden presence within the parish for 1.5 days per week. This role provides far more than reactive incident support, it delivers a visible, trusted and preventative presence within the community, focused on reassurance, early intervention and community wellbeing.
The Community Warden has spent significant time out and about in Ash-cum-Ridley, acting as a consistent and approachable point of contact for residents, businesses and partner organisations. This includes regular engagement in neighbourhoods, attending local venues and services, and building trusted relationships with members of the public particularly older residents, vulnerable individuals and those who may otherwise be reluctant to engage with statutory services.
