NEW ASH GREEN POST OFFICE UPDATE

Ash-cum-Ridley Parish Council has been actively pursuing the impact of the proposed closure of the New Ash Green Post Office on behalf of our community.

As part of this work, the Parish Council asked LINK to carry out a formal Cash Access Assessment for New Ash Green.

LINK has now completed its initial assessment and has advised that, while the Post Office remains open, New Ash Green does not currently meet the criteria for additional cash access services.

However, LINK has confirmed that once the Post Office closure and removal of the ATM are formally confirmed, it will carry out a further assessment of the impact on the community. This will include a site visit.

The Parish Council will continue to follow this closely on behalf of residents and local businesses and will share LINK’s further assessment once it is received
